The Kemper Gardens

About Me

I grew up in southwest Iowa before I headed to Iowa State for college. There I got my degree in Public Relations and Communications. I met my husband, Paul, an entire week before I graduated. Talk about God’s timing! We welcomed our first daughter, Troian, in May of 2024. We have two black and white kitties, Bert and Ernie. We currently reside in Des Moines, Iowa and I garden in Zone 5b.

I have always had a love for flowers that exploded upon us purchasing our first home. Each year my knowledge of gardening and what I grow has continued to expand. I want to teach people that you can grow your own flowers too and can do so in your own backyard.
